Who can request a proclamation?

In many cases, any resident, advocate, organization, or community member can request one. Requirements vary by location.

Do I need to write the proclamation myself?

Sometimes. Many offices ask you to provide sample wording, which is why VITFriends includes sample proclamation language in the toolkit.

Follow up politely by email or phone. Some offices need extra time to review requests.
